Using the urban landscape as a background, Nelo Teixeira assumes a critical voice that explores the concept of boundaries (physical and psychological) between where he lives in Chicala (urban ghetto) and the city under construction, surrounding him - questioning its own development and gentrification.

This artwork was created with Yola Balanga´s body within a ´performance´ in Madrid whilst at an art residence. It attempts to reveal the female condition of the Angolan women who are often brushed aside and forced to work at home. The resulting painting, even if abstract, explores concepts about spirituality and transcendence, the female body, gender violence, socio-political, religious and cultural issues.

This work highlight the attention that Ole has devoted to nature and its vital elements and materials. The earth, water, fire and air here take on countless forms that, as a whole, invite a planetary perception and an ecological awareness not only of the cohabitation, but, above all, of the interdependence between human and non-human forms of life (animal, vegetable, mineral). The survival of the human on our planet will depend on this deep awareness, combined with consequent forms of action. The lessons to be learned will be ways to unlearn the obsession with economic development and growth and the constant acceleration of production and consumption at the expense of the necessary environmental balance.

Born in Kinshasa, DRC in 1994. He lives and works in Kinshasa, DRC. Romariois one of the co-founding members of the "Tokeyi" collective, which means "let's move forward" in Lingala. "Toyeki" is a collective of young artists from Kinshasa who work for the development of art in Congolese society. For the artists in this collective, art is a vector for development and change within a community. Romario'sartistic approach is inspired by body art and the practice of writing on the body (scarification) specific to traditional Africa. By composing and representing themes that directly refer to ancestral practices, he draws attention to the need to know one's own history to share it with others and to exist on a global scale. The dialogue with the past is essential for Romarioas it allows him to address subjects that torment, fascinate or perplex him. How does one experience the world when one is a young painter in Africa? How does one experience this world? What are the anxieties and hopes of African youth? Romarioasks himself these existential questions over and over again in his individual and collective exhibitions. The bodily scarification described by Romarioalso testifies to the identity of subjects who experience globalization. It is a "global scarification", describing subjects as citizens of the world, influenced by various cultures, primarily through new technologies and social networks. Tired of the political demagogy and media censorship that characterize the environment in which he grew up, he strives to express his truth, raise awareness and give an insight into the realities of the world in which he lives.
